Treaty of Brotherhood in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) made a treaty of brotherhood between the Ansar and the Quraish in Anas bin Malik's home.

Narrated 'Asim: I said to Anas bin Malik, "Did it reach you that the Prophet said, "There is no treaty of brotherhood in Islam'?" Anas said, "The Prophet made a treaty (of brotherhood) between the Ansar and the Quraish in my home".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَبَّاحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَبَلَغَكَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ حِلْفَ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ قَدْ حَالَفَ النَّبِيُّ بَيْنَ قُرَيْشٍ وَالأَنْصَارِ فِي دَارِي‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of brotherhood in Islam. It was narrated by Asim who asked Anas bin Malik if it was true that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said there is no treaty of brotherhood in Islam. Anas replied that indeed, the Prophet ﷺ made a treaty of brotherhood between the Ansar and the Quraish at his home. This hadith teaches us that even though we may come from different backgrounds, we should still strive to be brothers and sisters in faith. We should treat each other with kindness, respect, and love as Allah has commanded us to do so. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us how important it is for Muslims to unite together despite their differences as this will bring peace and harmony among them.
