Searching for The Night of Al-Qadr

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was informing the people about the Night of Al-Qadr, but a quarrel between two Muslim men caused him to take away the news. He then suggested that they look for it in the ninth, seventh or fifth of the last ten days of Ramadan.

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Messenger went out to inform the people about the (date of the Night of decree (Al-Qadr). There happened a quarrel between two Muslim men. The Prophet said, "I came out to inform you about the Night of Al-Qadr, but as so-and-so and so-and-so quarrelled, so the news about it had been taken away; and may be it was better for you. So look for it in the ninth, the seventh, or the fifth (of the last ten days of Ramadan).

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to maintain peace and harmony among ourselves . Be mindful in our actions going forward .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was informing people about Laylatul Qadr, which is one of the holiest nights in Islam. It is believed that on this night, Allah's blessings and mercy are abundant and many prayers are answered. However, during this time there was a quarrel between two Muslims which caused Allah's Messenger to take away his announcement regarding Laylatul Qadr. He then suggested that they look for it in either the ninth, seventh or fifth day of Ramadan as these are considered to be some of its most likely days. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to maintain peace and harmony among ourselves so as not to miss out on any blessings from Allah SWT. We should also remember that even if we miss out on something due to our own actions, we can still make up for it by striving harder and being more mindful in our actions going forward.
