Seeking Refuge with Allah from Satan in Anger

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised a man to seek refuge with Allah from Satan when he became angry and his face changed.

Narrated Sulaiman bin Surad: A man from the companions of the Prophet said, "Two men abused each other in front of the Prophet and one of them became angry and his anger became so intense that his face became swollen and changed. The Prophet said, "I know a word the saying of which will cause him to relax if he does say it". Then a man went to him and informed him of the statement of the Prophet and said, "Seek refuge with Allah from Satan". On that, angry man said, 'Do you find anything wrong with me? Am I insane? Go away!"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of seeking refuge with Allah from Satan when one becomes angry. It was narrated by Sulaiman bin Surad, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, two men were arguing and one of them became so angry that his face changed. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then advised him to seek refuge with Allah from Satan in order to calm down. This teaches us that we should always remember to turn to God for help whenever we are feeling overwhelmed or upset, as He is the only One who can truly help us in such situations. We should also strive not to let our anger get out of control, as it can lead us into doing things that we may regret later on.
