Showing Mercy in the Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ showed mercy to a bedouin who urinated in the mosque by not punishing him and instead pouring water over the place of urine.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: A bedouin urinated in the mosque and the people ran to (beat) him. Allah's Messenger said, "Do not interrupt his urination (ie let him finish)". Then the Prophet asked for a tumbler of water and poured the water over the place of urine.

QUICK LESSONS:
Show kindness and mercy even when someone has done something wrong or made a mistake .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about showing mercy and kindness even when someone has done something wrong. In this case, a bedouin had urinated in the mosque and people were ready to punish him for it. However, Allah's Messenger showed mercy by not punishing him but instead pouring water over the place of urine. This teaches us that we should always show kindness and mercy even when someone has done something wrong or made a mistake. We should also remember that Allah is Most Merciful so we should try to be merciful too.
