Welcoming the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was welcomed by the children of Bani 'Abdul Muttalib when he arrived at Mecca.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Mecca, the children of Bani 'Abdul Muttalib received him. He then mounted one of them in front of him and the other behind him.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ مَكَّةَ اسْتَقْبَلَهُ أُغَيْلِمَةُ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، فَحَمَلَ وَاحِدًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَالآخَرَ خَلْفَهُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
When the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) arrived at Mecca, he was warmly welcomed by the children of Bani 'Abdul Muttalib. They showed their love and respect for him by mounting two of them on either side of him. This hadith shows us how important it is to show respect and kindness to our elders and those who are in authority over us. It also teaches us that we should always be welcoming and hospitable towards others regardless of their age or status in society. We should strive to make everyone feel welcome in our presence and treat them with kindness as this is what Allah expects from us as Muslims.
