Riding Donkeys with the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad rode a donkey with Usama bin Zaid behind him, and the saddle was covered with a velvet sheet.

Narrated Usama bin Zaid: Allah's Messenger rode a donkey saddled with a saddle covered with a Fadakiyya velvet sheet, and he made me ride behind him.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَكِبَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ، عَلَى إِكَافٍ عَلَيْهِ قَطِيفَةٌ فَدَكِيَّةٌ، وَأَرْدَفَ أُسَامَةَ وَرَاءَهُ‏.‏
