Rewarded for Spending in Allah's Cause

SUMMARY: Whatever you spend for Allah's sake, even if it is a small amount, will be rewarded.

Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas: Allah's Messenger said, "You will be rewarded for whatever you spend for Allah's sake even if it were a morsel which you put in your wife's mouth".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that whatever we spend in the cause of Allah, no matter how small it may be, will be rewarded by Him. It could be something as simple as giving a morsel of food to your wife or donating money to charity. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was reminding us that even the smallest acts of kindness and generosity are not forgotten by God and will be rewarded accordingly. We should strive to do good deeds with the intention of pleasing God and earning His reward.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught us that spending in charity is an act of worship which brings us closer to God and increases our faith. He said “Whoever gives charity equal to a date from his honest earnings -for Allah accepts only what is pure-Allah takes it in His right hand and tends it for the one who gave it as any one of you tends his foal, until it becomes like a mountain” [Bukhari]. This hadith shows us how much value God places on our charitable deeds and encourages us to give generously with sincerity.

In conclusion, this hadith reminds us that whatever we spend for the sake of Allah will not go unrewarded; even if it is something small like giving food to your family or donating money to charity. We should strive to do good deeds with sincerity so that we can earn His pleasure and receive His reward both in this world and the hereafter.
