Praying for Healing

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ used to treat his wives by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and praying for healing.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet used to treat some of his wives by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say, "O Lord of the people! Remove the difficulty and bring about healing as You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your Healing, a healing that will leave no ailment".

QUICK LESSONS:
Turn to Allah in times of difficulty, Ask for help from Allah

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aisha speaks about the Prophet's practice of treating his wives when they were ill. He would pass his right hand over the place of ailment and pray to Allah, asking Him to remove their difficulty and bring about healing. He would also say that there is no healing but Allah's healing, a healing that will leave no ailment. This hadith teaches us that we should always turn to Allah in times of difficulty and ask Him for help, as He is the only one who can truly heal us from our ailments. We should also have faith in His power and believe that whatever He does is best for us, even if it may not be what we want at first glance.
