Sahih al-Bukhari 5747 (Book 76, Hadith 62) #5513
The Power of Seeking Refuge in Bad Dreams

SUMMARY: Dreams can be from Allah or Satan, and if one has a bad dream they should seek refuge with Allah to protect themselves from its harm.

Narrated Abu Qatada: I heard the Prophet saying, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So if anyone of you sees (in a dream) something he dislikes, when he gets up he should blow thrice (on his left side) and seek refuge with Allah from its evil for then it will not harm him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek refuge with Allah when having a bad dream .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the power of seeking refuge with Allah when one has a bad dream. It was narrated by Abu Qatada who heard it directly from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said that if someone sees something they don't like in their dream, then they should blow three times on their left side and seek refuge with Allah from its evil. By doing this, it will not harm them. This teaches us that we should always turn to Allah for protection and safety no matter what situation we are in, even if it's just a bad dream! We must remember that only He can protect us and keep us safe from any kind of harm or danger.
