Seek Medical Advice When Ill

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that cupping and cautarization are two effective forms of healing. Cupping is a form of traditional medicine in which a cup is placed on the skin to create suction, while cauterization is a medical procedure used to burn or sear tissue in order to remove or close off a part of it. He also taught us that although these methods can be beneficial for healing, he himself did not prefer them as they involve branding or burning the skin. This hadith teaches us the importance of seeking medical advice when we are ill, as well as being mindful about our own health and wellbeing.
