EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Huraira and it teaches us that it is not permissible to offer sacrifices such as Fara' and Atirah to idols. Fara' was the first offspring of camels or sheep which pagans used to offer as a sacrifice for their idols. Atirah was a sheep which used to be slaughtered during the month of Rajab. This hadith teaches us that we should not worship any other gods besides Allah, and that we should stay away from pagan practices such as offering sacrifices for idols. We should also remember that Allah alone deserves our worship and devotion, and He will reward us if we follow His commands.
