The Prophet's Distribution of Dates

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) distributed dates among his companions, and one of the dates was a Hashafa which was hard for Abu Huraira's teeth.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet distributed dates among us, and my share was five dates, four of which were good, and one was a ,Hashafa, and I found the Hashafa the hardest for my teeth.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَسَمَ النَّبِيُّ بَيْنَنَا تَمْرًا فَأَصَابَنِي مِنْهُ خَمْسٌ أَرْبَعُ تَمَرَاتٍ وَحَشَفَةٌ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ الْحَشَفَةَ هِيَ أَشَدُّهُنَّ لِضِرْسِي‏.‏

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ distribution of dates among his companions. Abu Huraira was given five dates, four of which were good and one was a Hashafa, which he found to be difficult to eat.
