Eating Gourd with the Prophet

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) eating gourd and how Anas was inspired by it.

Narrated Anas: Allah's Messenger went to (the house of) his slave tailor, and he was offered (a dish of) gourd of which he started eating. I have loved to eat gourd since I saw Allah's Messenger eating it.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَتَى مَوْلًى لَهُ خَيَّاطًا، فَأُتِيَ بِدُبَّاءٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُهُ، فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُحِبُّهُ مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَأْكُلُهُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) visit to his slave tailor's house. During his visit, he was offered a dish of gourd which he started eating. Seeing this, Anas ibn Malik was inspired and since then has loved to eat gourd himself. This hadith teaches us that even small acts of kindness can have a great impact on others and inspire them in their lives. It also shows us that we should be humble and not shy away from doing simple tasks like eating food with others as it can bring joy to them as well as ourselves. We should also take inspiration from our beloved Prophet's actions in our daily lives so that we may become better Muslims and people overall.
