Sahih al-Bukhari 5263 (Book 68, Hadith 13) #5042
Divorce Option in Marriage

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) gave the option of divorce to couples, and Masruq asked 'Aisha about it. She said that even if a husband gives his wife the option multiple times, it still counts as one divorce.

Narrated Masruq: I asked 'Aisha about the option: She said, "The Prophet gave us the option. Do you think that option was considered as a divorce?" I said, "It matters little to me if I give my wife the option once or a hundred times after she has chosen me".

QUICK LESSONS:
Think carefully before making any decisions related to marriage or divorce .

EXPLANATIONS:
In Islam, marriage is a sacred bond between two people who love each other and want to spend their lives together. However, if things don’t work out between them, they have the option of getting divorced. This hadith explains that when a husband gives his wife the option of divorce multiple times, it still counts as one divorce only. This shows us how merciful Allah is towards couples who are not able to stay together anymore; He has given them an easy way out without having to go through too much trouble or pain. It also teaches us that we should think carefully before making any decisions related to marriage or divorce because these decisions can have long-term consequences on our lives and those around us.
