Sahih al-Bukhari 5260 (Book 68, Hadith 10) #5039
Marriage Advice from the Prophet (ﷺ).

SUMMARY: A woman who was divorced by her husband and remarried another man, came to the Prophet (ﷺ) for advice. The Prophet (ﷺ) advised her that she cannot return to her first husband until she consummates her marriage with the second one.

Narrated 'Aisha: The wife of Rifa'a Al-Qurazi came to Allah's Messenger and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! Rifa'a divorced me irrevocably. After him I married 'Abdur-Rahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi who proved to be impotent". Allah's Messenger said to her, "Perhaps you want to return to Rifa'a? Nay (you cannot return to Rifa'a) until you and 'Abdur-Rahman consummate your marriage".
