Sahih al-Bukhari 5261 (Book 68, Hadith 11) #5040
The Rules of Divorce and Remarriage

SUMMARY: A woman who has been divorced three times cannot remarry her first husband unless the second husband consummates his marriage with her.

Narrated 'Aisha: A man divorced his wife thrice (by expressing his decision to divorce her thrice), then she married another man who also divorced her. The Prophet was asked if she could legally marry the first husband (or not). The Prophet replied, "No, she cannot marry the first husband unless the second husband consummates his marriage with her, just as the first husband had done".

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat people fairly in all matters especially when it comes to marriage & divorce . Follow Prophet Muhammad's example .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the rules of divorce and remarriage in Islam. According to this hadith, if a man divorces his wife three times, she cannot marry him again unless she marries another man and that man consummates his marriage with her. This means that the second husband must have sexual intercourse with her before she can marry the first husband again. This rule is meant to protect women from being taken advantage of by men who may want to keep divorcing them and taking them back without any consequences for their actions. It also ensures that women are not treated unfairly in cases where they are divorced multiple times by one man.

The Prophet Muhammad's ruling on this matter shows us how important it is to treat people fairly in all matters, especially when it comes to marriage and divorce. He was very clear about what was right and wrong when it came to these matters, which shows us how seriously he took them. We should strive to follow his example in our own lives so that we can ensure justice for all those involved in any marital disputes or disagreements we may encounter throughout our lives.
