Sahih al-Bukhari 508 (Book 8, Hadith 155) #491
Praying with Respect

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray facing the middle of Aisha's bed while she was lying in it, and she felt guilty for standing in front of him during his prayers.

Narrated 'Aisha: Do you make us (women) equal to dogs and donkeys? While I used to lie in my bed, the Prophet would come and pray facing the middle of the bed. I used to consider it not good to stand in front of him in his prayers. So I used to slip away slowly and quietly from the foot of the bed till I got out of my guilt.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be respectful towards others especially during prayer or religious activities; Do not disturb or distract those who are engaged in prayer; Slip away quietly if necessary; Focus on God Almighty during prayer.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of respecting others when praying. It is narrated by 'Aisha that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to pray, he would face the middle of her bed while she was lying in it. She felt guilty for standing in front of him during his prayers and so would slip away quietly from the foot of the bed. This hadith teaches us that we should always be respectful towards others, especially when praying or engaging in any other religious activities. We should also be mindful not to disturb or distract those who are engaged in prayer as this can take away from their concentration and focus on God Almighty.
