QUICK LESSONS:
Follow instructions from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Jabir bin 'Abdullah and Salama bin Al-Akwa’ states that Allah's Messenger gave permission to do the practice of Mut’a marriage. This type of marriage is a temporary union between two people which is valid for a fixed period of time. It was practiced in the early days of Islam but later on it was abolished due to certain reasons. This hadith teaches us that we should follow the teachings and instructions given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as he was sent by Allah as a guide for mankind. We should also be aware that some practices may be permissible at one point in time but can be changed or abolished later on if needed.
