Praising Knowledge and Wealth Used for Good

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the two men who are praised for their knowledge and wealth, respectively, and how they use it to benefit others.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Messenger said, "Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of two men who are praised by Allah's Messenger ﷺ. The first man is given knowledge of the Book, which he recites during the night hours. The second man is given wealth which he spends in charity during both day and night hours. This hadith teaches us that knowledge should be used to benefit others through reciting the Quran or teaching it to others, while wealth should be used to help those in need through charity or other forms of giving. It also shows us that we should strive to use our resources for good deeds as much as possible so that we can gain Allah's pleasure.
