EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the good that Allah has bestowed upon His beloved prophet, Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated by Abu Bishr and Sa’id bin Jubair who both heard from Ibn Abbas about Al-Kauthar. Al-Kauthar is the name of a river in paradise that was given to the prophet as a gift from Allah. Ibn Abbas said that this river is part of the good that was given to him by his Lord, and it serves as an example of how much love and mercy Allah has for His messenger ﷺ. This hadith teaches us to be thankful for all the blessings we have been given by our Creator, no matter how small they may seem. We should also strive to emulate our beloved prophet's character so we can be closer to Him in this life and in the hereafter.
