QUICK LESSONS:
Paying your zakah regularly and faithfully

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of Zakat in Islam. It was narrated by Khalid bin Aslam who went out with Abdullah bin Umar and heard him explain that the verse about Zakat was revealed before it was prescribed. When it was prescribed, Allah made it a means of purifying one's wealth. In other words, when someone pays their zakat they are not only fulfilling an obligation to God but also purifying their wealth from any sins or wrongdoings associated with it. This is why zakat is so important in Islam and why Muslims should strive to pay their zakat regularly and faithfully. It is also important to note that paying zakat does not just benefit the person paying it but also those who receive it as charity from them.
