Sahih al-Bukhari 4420 (Book 64, Hadith 442) #4215
Entering Upon Those Who Are Being Punished

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) warned his companions not to enter upon those who were being punished, and to do so only in a state of sorrow, lest they suffer the same fate.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Messenger said to his companions who were at Al-Hijr, "Do not enter upon these people who are being punished, except in a weeping state, lest the same calamity as of theirs should befall you"..

QUICK LESSONS:
Feel compassion towards those suffering , Remember Allah is All Knowing & All Seeing , Respect others even when they are facing punishment .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was warning his companions against entering upon those who were being punished at Al-Hijr. He advised them to do so only if they were in a state of sorrow, as this would be an act of mercy towards the people being punished. He also warned them that if they did not take heed and enter upon these people without feeling sorrowful, then the same calamity could befall them too. This hadith teaches us that we should always feel compassion for those who are suffering and never take pleasure in their misfortune or pain. We should also remember that Allah is All-Knowing and All-Seeing; whatever we do will have consequences for us too.
