Sahih al-Bukhari 426 (Book 8, Hadith 76) #420
Starting from the Right Side

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) always started with the right side when doing any task.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet used to start every thing from the right (for good things) whenever it was possible in all his affairs; for example: in washing, combing or wearing shoes.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aisha tells us that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ always started with the right side whenever it was possible in all his affairs. This could be seen in his actions such as washing, combing or wearing shoes. This teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to start things off on a good note. It also shows us that even small tasks should be done with care and attention to detail. We can learn from this hadith that we should strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives and not take anything for granted.
