QUICK LESSONS:
Be honest & trustworthy when dealing with others .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about two rulers from Najran who came to visit the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with the intention of doing something called Lian. One ruler warned against it, saying that if Muhammad ﷺ was a prophet then they and their offspring would not be successful in life. They agreed to give whatever Muhammad ﷺ asked for on condition that he sent an honest and trustworthy man with them as a witness. After much deliberation, Abu 'Ubaida bin Al-Jarrah was chosen as this man due to his trustworthiness and honesty which were highly regarded by Allah's Messenger ﷺ himself. This hadith teaches us about the importance of being honest and trustworthy in our dealings so that we can be successful in life both now and in our future generations. It also shows us how important it is for us to choose people who are reliable when we need witnesses or help from others in any matter or situation we face in life.
