This hadith speaks to the importance of following in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Ibn 'Umar assumed Ihram, a state in which one enters into a sacred state for Hajj or Umrah, and declared that if anything should come between him and his goal, he would do what Prophet Muhammad did when faced with obstacles. He then recited verse 33:21 from the Quran which states "You have indeed in Allah's Messenger a good example to follow". This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet and never give up on our goals even when faced with obstacles. We must remember that no matter how difficult things may seem, we can always look towards our beloved prophet as an example for guidance and strength.
