Offering Jumua Prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and his companions offering Jumua prayer and then leaving when there was no shade to take shelter in.

Narrated Iyas bin Salama bin Al-Akwa': My father who was amongst those who had given the Pledge of allegiance to the Prophet beneath the Tree, said to me, "We used to offer the Jumua prayer with the Prophet and then depart at a time when the walls had no shade for us to take shelter in".
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ـ أَبِي وَكَانَ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ ـ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ، وَلَيْسَ لِلْحِيطَانِ ظِلٌّ نَسْتَظِلُّ فِيهِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the time when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions used to offer their Friday prayers. After they finished their prayers they would leave as there were no walls or shades for them to take shelter in. This hadith teaches us that we should be punctual in our prayers and not linger around after it has been completed. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our environment and not stay too long if there are no facilities available for us to use. We can also learn from this hadith that we should always strive to follow the example of our beloved prophet ﷺ in all aspects of life.
