Sahih al-Bukhari 4081 (Book 64, Hadith 125) #3900
The Dream of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) saw a dream in which he moved a sword and its blade got broken, symbolizing the casualties suffered by believers on the day of Uhud. He then moved it again and it became perfect, symbolizing Allah's help in achieving the Conquest of Mecca and uniting all believers. He also saw cows in his dream, which symbolized faithful believers who were martyred on the day of Uhud.

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, "I saw in a dream that I moved a sword and its blade got broken, and that symbolized the casualties which the believers suffered on the day of Uhud. Then I moved it again, and it became as perfect as it had been, and that symbolized the Conquest (of Mecca) which Allah helped us to achieve, and the union of all the believers. I (also) saw cows in the dream, and what Allah does is always beneficial. Those cows appeared to symbolize the faithful believers (who were martyred) on the day of Uhud".

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ shared his dream with Abu Musa. In this dream he saw himself moving a sword whose blade got broken, signifying the casualties suffered by believers on the day of Uhud. Then he moved it again and it became perfect as before, signifying Allah's help in achieving victory at Mecca and uniting all believers. He also saw cows in his dream which represented faithful believers who were martyred on that same day at Uhud. This hadith teaches us that even when we suffer losses or setbacks due to our faith or beliefs, Allah will always be there to help us achieve victory if we remain steadfast and united as one community under His guidance.
