The Severity of Harming the Prophet (PBUH)

SUMMARY: Allah's wrath is severe on those who cause harm to the Prophet (PBUH).

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Allah's Wrath gets severe on a person killed by a prophet, and Allah's Wrath became severe on him who had caused the face of Allah's Messenger to bleed.
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَهُ نَبِيٌّ، اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى مَنْ دَمَّى وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏.‏

This hadith speaks about the severity of harming the beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas that Allah's wrath is severe on those who cause harm to him and even more so if they are killed by a prophet. This hadith serves as a reminder for us to be mindful of our actions and words when it comes to our beloved prophet ﷺ as we should always strive to protect his honour and respect him in all aspects. We should also remember that Allah will not take kindly towards those who disrespect or hurt His messenger ﷺ in any way.
