EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us against the practice of painting or drawing portraits. It is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas who heard it from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. According to this hadith, anyone who paints a portrait will be punished in Hell for it. If one must draw something, they should only draw inanimate objects such as trees and other non-living things. This teaches us that we should not create images of living beings because it is considered a sin according to Islamic teachings. We can learn from this hadith that we should be careful about what we do and how we spend our time because our actions have consequences both in this life and the hereafter.
