The Reward of Qiyam During Lailat-ul-Qadr

SUMMARY: Performing Qiyam during Lailat-ul-Qadr with faith and hope of Allah's reward will lead to forgiveness of sins.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "Whosoever performs Qiyam during Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), with Faith and being hopeful of Allah's reward, will have his former sins forgiven". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن النبي قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏من قام ليلة القدر إيمانا واحتسابًا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه‏"‏‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏

This hadith is about the importance and reward for performing prayer during the night of decree, known as Lailat ul Qadr. According to this hadith, if one performs prayer on this night with faith and hope for Allah’s reward, then their former sins will be forgiven.
