EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar tells us that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him used to perform two Rak'ah of optional prayers before and after each of the five daily prayers. These five daily prayers are Fajr prayer in the morning, Zuhr prayer at noon, Asr prayer in the afternoon, Maghrib prayer at sunset and Isha’a prayer at night. Performing these optional prayers is a way to increase our reward from Allah Almighty as it is an act of worship that we do out of love for Him. It also helps us to stay connected with Allah throughout our day as we remember Him more often than just during our obligatory five daily prayers.

The values taught by this hadith are piety and devotion towards Allah Almighty through performing extra acts of worship such as optional or voluntary prayers. It also teaches us about being consistent in our faith and practice so that we can stay connected with Allah throughout our day instead of just during obligatory times like salah or fasting. Additionally, it encourages us to strive for excellence in all aspects of life including religious practices so that we can gain more rewards from Allah Almighty on Judgment Day.
