Calling Adhan in Wilderness

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught that when one is in the wilderness, they should raise their voice when calling Adhan as it will be a witness for them on the Day of Resurrection.

'Abdullah bin 'Abdur-Rahman reported: Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) said to me: "I see that you like living among your sheep in wilderness. So whenever you are with your sheep or in wilderness and you want to call Adhan, you should raise your voice because whoever hears the Adhan, whether a human or jinn or any other creature, will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection". Abu Sa'id added: "I heard this from the Messenger of Allah ". Al-Bukhari.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah's commands and do good deeds even if no one else can see you doing so.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught his followers to call out the adhan, or call to prayer, even if they are alone in the wilderness. This is because anyone who hears it - whether human, jinn or any other creature - will testify for them on the Day of Resurrection. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds and follow Allah's commands even if no one else can see us doing so. It also reminds us that our actions have consequences and will be judged by Allah on Judgment Day.
