QUICK LESSONS:
Lead a simple life; Spend money on beneficial things; Remember Allah has given us all we need

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known to lead a simple life and he taught his followers to do the same. In this hadith, he is reported to have held a piece of gold in one hand and a piece of silk in the other while saying that these two items were forbidden for men. This teaches us that we should not indulge in luxuries or extravagance as it can lead us away from our faith. We should instead focus on leading simple lives and spending our money on things that are beneficial for ourselves and others. We should also remember that Allah has given us all we need so there is no need to waste money on unnecessary items or activities.
