Learning and Teaching the Quran

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that the best of people are those who learn and teach the Quran.

Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrated that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The best of you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it'. " 'Then he (Mus'ab) took me (the narrator) by the hand and made me sit here, and I started to teach Qur'an'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Learn & Teach Quran

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that the best of people are those who learn and teach the Quran. He demonstrated this by taking Mus’ab bin Sa’d by his hand and making him sit down to teach others what he had learned from the holy book. This hadith emphasizes how important it is for Muslims to not only learn but also share their knowledge with others in order to spread its teachings. It also encourages us to be humble when teaching as we should never think ourselves superior or better than anyone else because of our knowledge or understanding of Islam. Furthermore, it reminds us that learning is a lifelong process which should never stop no matter how much we already know about our faith.
