EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the nature of faith. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah and Ibn 'Abbas that faith can both increase and decrease. This means that one's faith in Allah can grow stronger or weaker depending on their actions. If a person does good deeds such as praying regularly or helping others in need, then their faith will increase. On the other hand, if a person commits sins or neglects to do good deeds then their faith will decrease. Therefore it is important for Muslims to strive to do good deeds in order to maintain strong faith in Allah.
