Respect for Parents , Taking Oaths Only By The Name Of God Alone .

This hadith teaches us that it is not permissible to swear by anyone other than Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked about the people of Quraish who used to swear by their fathers, and he replied that they should not do so.
