This hadith is about the permissibility of selling goods on credit. The narrator Ubayd was selling drapery to the people of Dar Nakhla and they proposed that he reduce the price for them in exchange for immediate payment. He then asked Zayd ibn Thabit about this situation and he said it was not permissible to accept increase or give anything away when selling goods on credit.
