Respect other people’s requests; Do not cause any harm or distress; Be courteous towards one another at all times; Emulate the example set by the Prophet (ﷺ) .

This hadith from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that it is not permissible to ask for a woman in marriage when another Muslim has already done so. This means that if someone else has already asked for her hand in marriage and the process of engagement is underway, then it would be inappropriate and disrespectful to try and interfere with this process. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that we should respect other people’s requests and not try to take away something from them without their permission or consent. We should also be mindful of our own actions and ensure that we do not cause any harm or distress to others by our words or deeds.

Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about proper etiquette when seeking marriage as well as how we should treat others with respect even if they are strangers to us. We must always remember that Allah loves those who are kind and merciful towards others regardless of their faith or background.
