QUICK LESSONS:
Perform rituals such as Aqiqa when babies are born; Express gratitude towards Allah; Share resources with those who are less fortunate; Appreciate Allah's blessings upon us all; Show generosity towards others in need .

EXPLANATIONS:
An aqiqa is a ritual sacrifice that is performed when a baby is born. It was done for the two sons of Ali ibn Abi Talib - Hasan and Husayn. This tradition has been practiced by Muslims since the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as it was mentioned in the Hadith. It is believed that this act brings blessings to the newborn child and their family. The animal sacrificed can be either sheep or goat depending on what is available to the family at that time. This act also serves as an expression of gratitude to Allah for blessing them with a new life and also serves as an opportunity to share with others who may not have enough food or resources in their own homes. By sacrificing something valuable, it shows appreciation for Allah's blessings and generosity towards us all.
