QUICK LESSONS:
Make supplications/du’as for those who have passed away ; Follow Islamic rites & rituals while burying one's loved ones ; Respect & honor those who have passed away ; Show compassion towards people grieving a loss .

EXPLANATIONS:
When someone passes away in Islam, it is customary to pray for them. This prayer is known as Salat al-Janazah and involves reciting certain verses from the Quran. However, according to this hadith narrated by Yahya from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used not to recite when praying over a dead person. Instead of reciting verses of the Quran during Salat al-Janazah, he would make supplications and du'as for the deceased. After this prayer is completed, the body of the deceased should be buried in accordance with Islamic rites and rituals known as Taqsim al-Mayyit or burial of the dead.

This hadith teaches us that we should remember our loved ones who have passed away by making du'as for them instead of just reciting verses from Quran during their funeral prayers. It also reminds us that we must follow Islamic rites and rituals while burying our loved ones so they can rest in peace after death according to Islamic teachings.
