The Beginning of Day and Night

SUMMARY: The hadith explains the beginning of the day and night in relation to the sun's position.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Da'ud ibn al-Husayn said that someone had told him Abdullah ibn Abbas used to say, "Duluk ash-shams begins from when the sun passes the meridian. Ghasaq al-layl is the gathering of the night and its darkness".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of time and use it wisely

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how the day and night are determined by the sun's position. It states that when the sun passes its meridian point, which is an imaginary line in a north-south direction passing through a particular location on earth, it marks as Duluk ash-shams or beginning of day. Similarly, Ghasaq al-layl is when darkness begins to gather at nightfall. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of time and use it wisely as each moment is precious.
