Musnad Ahmad 1023 (Book 5, Hadith 444) #34670
The Prophet's Vigilance on the Day of Badr

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the only one who stayed awake and prayed beneath a tree on the day of Badr, while everyone else was asleep.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: There were no horsemen among us on the day of Badr apart from al-Miqdad. I could not see any of us who was not asleep, apart from the Messenger of Allah who remained praying beneath a tree and weeping until morning.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray to Allah for guidance during difficult times; Remain faithful to your faith; Trust in Allah's plan; Persevere through hardships.

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Badr, which was a battle between Muslims and non-Muslims, all of the Muslims were asleep except for one man named al-Miqdad and Prophet Muhammad himself. The Prophet remained awake throughout the night praying beneath a tree and weeping until morning. This hadith teaches us that even in difficult times, we should remain vigilant in our faith by praying to Allah and seeking His guidance. We should also remember that no matter how hard things may seem, Allah is always with us if we turn to Him in prayer.
