Distributing Sacrificial Animals

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ instructed 'Ali (??? ???? ???) to be in charge of the sacrificial animals and to distribute all of its meat, skin and blankets, without giving any of it to the butcher.

'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) told him that the Prophet told him to be in charge of the sacrificial animals, and he instructed him to distribute all of his sacrifice; its meat, its skin and its blankets, and not to give the butcher any of it. It was narrated from 'Abdul-Kareem - and he narrated the same hadeeth. And he said: We will pay his wages ourselves

QUICK LESSONS:
Distribute all parts among those in need; Pay people fairly for their services; Share blessings with others instead of keeping them all for ourselves.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about distributing sacrificial animals. The Prophet Muhammad instructed Ali to be in charge of the sacrificial animals and told him that he should distribute all parts of it - its meat, skin, and blankets - without giving any part to the butcher as payment for his services. This teaches us that we should not take advantage of people who are helping us out by expecting them to do something for free or by not paying them what they deserve for their work. We should always pay people fairly for their services so that they can support themselves and their families. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us about generosity; we should share our blessings with others instead of keeping them all for ourselves.
