This hadith discusses the ruling of wiping over the khuffs which are leather slippers. It was narrated by Shuraih bin Hani' who asked 'Aishah about it and she told him to ask 'Ali. When he asked 'Ali, he said that for travelers it is three days and nights while for non-travelers it is one day and night. This hadith teaches us that we should follow Islamic rulings when performing our religious obligations such as prayer or ablution.
