Eating, Drinking and Remembering Allah

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reminding people to eat, drink and remember Allah during the Farewell Pilgrimage.

It was narrated from Mas'ood bin al-Hakam al-Ansari az-Zuraqi, from his mother, that she told him: It is as if I can see 'Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه), riding the white mule of the Messenger of Allah , when he stood at the mountain pass of the Ansar during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said: O people, the Messenger of Allah says: 'These are not the days of fasting, rather they are days of eating, drinking and remembering Allah".
