Musnad Ahmad 651 (Book 5, Hadith 87) #34313
Praying Witr at Night

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to pray Witr at different times of the night, but eventually settled on praying it at the end of the night.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: At different times of the night the Messenger of Allah prayed Witr at the beginning, in the middle and at the end. Then he settled on praying Witr at the end of the night.

QUICK LESSONS:
Make time for worshiping God alone , Strive to be consistent in religious practices .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib states that Prophet Muhammad used to pray a special prayer called Witr at different times during the night. This prayer is usually done after Isha'a and before Fajr prayers. However, he eventually settled on praying it towards the end of the night. This teaches us that we should strive to be consistent in our religious practices and not change them too often. It also shows us how important it is for Muslims to make time for prayer even when they are busy or tired.

The Prophet Muhammad was an example for all Muslims in his devotion to Allah and his dedication to prayer even when he was tired or busy with other matters. He showed us that we should prioritize our relationship with Allah over everything else in life and make sure we take time out each day for worshiping Him alone. We can learn from this hadith that consistency is key when it comes to religious practices such as prayer and that no matter how busy or tired we may be, we should always make time for Allah's remembrance each day.
