Displeasure at Distraction from Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ expressed his anger and displeasure at those who distracted him from prayer until the sunset on the day of al-Ahzab.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet said on the day of al-Ahzab'.May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, they distracted us from prayer until the sunset'.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا كَمَا شَغَلُونَا عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى آبَتْ الشَّمْسُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of al-Ahzab, The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was very angry and displeased with those who had distracted him from prayer until the time of sunset. He made a supplication to Allah that they should be filled with fire in their houses and graves. This hadith teaches us that we should not distract others from their prayers or any other acts of worship as it is displeasing to Allah. We must also remember to make supplications to Allah for our enemies as this is a sign of true faith and piety. It also reminds us that we must always strive to perform our prayers on time so that we can reap its rewards in this life and hereafter.
