QUICK LESSONS:
Seek refuge with Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about seeking refuge with Allah from certain things that can be harmful to us in this life and in the hereafter. These include miserliness which is being stingy or not giving charity when one has enough to do so; cowardice which is being afraid or lacking courage; torment of the grave which is a punishment for those who have done wrong deeds; feebleness of old age which refers to physical weakness due to aging; and diseases of the heart such as envy, hatred and wrong beliefs. Wakee said that diseases of the heart means dying while turmoil or fitnah refers to a situation where one has not repented for their sins. Therefore it is important for us to seek refuge with Allah from these things so that we can live our lives according to His commands and be successful both in this life and in our afterlife.
