EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of wiping over his leather slippers while travelling. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar, who said that Umar saw the Messenger of Allah wipe over his leather slippers whilst travelling. This indicates that it is permissible to do so when one is on a journey, as long as they are wearing their khuffs or other types of footwear. This hadith also teaches us the importance of following the Sunnah and emulating the Prophet's example in our daily lives. It also shows us how we should be mindful and considerate when it comes to performing religious obligations, such as wudu or ablution, even when we are on a journey and may not have access to all necessary resources for performing them in full detail.
