Musnad Ahmad 205 (Book 2, Hadith 122) #33897
The Provision of Trusting in Allah

SUMMARY: Trusting in Allah will bring provision and sustenance.

Abu Tameem al-Jaishani said: Umar bin al Khattab heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'If you were to put your trust in Allah as you should, you would be given provision like the birds: they go out hungry in the morning and come back with full bellies in the evening".

QUICK LESSONS:
Put your trust in God
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of trusting in Allah for our provision and sustenance. Umar bin al Khattab heard the Messenger of Allah say that if we put our trust in Allah as we should, He will provide us with what we need just like birds who go out hungry but come back with full bellies. This is a reminder that no matter how difficult things may seem, if we trust in God's plan for us, He will provide for us and take care of us. We must remember to have faith that whatever happens is part of His plan and it is ultimately for our benefit even if it doesn't seem so at first glance.
